the correct answer is SUNLIGHT.
this is because the heterotrophs in aquatic habitat (zooplantetrons and neklons) depends on the phytoplantons for food directly and indirectly. phytoplanktons depends on sunlight to produce food by photosynthesis for the heterotrophs.

a limiting factor is one which constrains the size of a population and stops it from growing
the question says all are limiting factors except
if theres no food, water and sunlight that will reduce the size of the population adversely
but temperature will not really affect them
so temperature is the answer

The correct answer is C. Water

In an aquatic habitat, water is not a limiting factor since it is abundant. The other options—food, temperature, and sunlight—are major limiting factors that can affect productivity in aquatic environments.

sunlight is legit.. because even the food chose by some, will they be food without photosynthesis (sunlight) which zooplankton depends too on the phytoplankton

Greetings, The Myschool Team.
The correct answer is C(Water) and not B(Temperature). The question asks for the factor that is NOT limiting. Food and Sunlight are obviously limiting factors. Temperature is also a limiting factor, as it affects the level of dissolved oxygen in the water. Equally, the colder the water body, the less biological activity there is in general. Water on the other hand is not limiting, since by definition an aquatic habitat consists of water. Therefore, C(water) is the correct answer. Thank you very much.

Sunlight is correct ✍️👽

In aquatic ecosystems, the limiting factor for productivity is light as plants and algae cannot grow in the absence of light.

Thus, among the options provided, the most appropriate one is Sunlight

So is it Water or Sunlight? Oh chim

you said except. so water is not a limiting factor for productivity in aquatic life? they can't even survive without it. the best answer is sunlight

The major limiting factor in the aquatic habitat is temperature, then sunlight, then oxygen concentration and lastly nutrient availability.
So is left for u to choose the correct answer in the options given
