Thanks for all your submissions and contributions. Actually the correct answer is option A. You'll recall that the ossicles(Hammer, Anvil and stirrup) are found in the middle Ear. The Ear ossicles by the virtue of their position in the ear carry out two major functions:
(i) transmission of vibrations across the tympanic membrane to the oval window, and
(ii) magnification of the pressure of the oval window several times.

There would have been two answers if option B were magnification of the pressure of the oval window rather the option says regulation of pressure. Therefore the correct answer remains option A
