The two conjugants then seperate, making two cells( first division)

in each exconjugant the zygote undergoes mitosis division 3 times to produce 8 nuclei.

It's not correct. The answer is 1. There are 4 nuclei. 3 degenerate leaving just 1. This then divides 3 times to give 8 nuclei.
