Bro diffusion is involved. check newschool biology.

the odd one out is active transport as it deals with the movement of mineral ions into the root cell, not water. active transport the movement process that requires energy from surrounding cells to occur.

diffusion and osmosis depend on concentration gradient and permeability respectively.

Greetings, The Myschool Team.
The correct answer is D(active transport). This is due to the fact that movement of water through the endodermis involves the movement of water from a region of higher concentration to that of lower concentration (implying both diffusion and osmosis), and through cell vacuoles; however, the cell does not transport water against a concentration gradient, which excludes active transport. Therefore, the correct answer is D(active transport). Thank you.

Diffusion z not necessary in d movement of water

Osmosis is responsible for the movement of water from the soil into the root hairs, active transport invovles the movement of ions from the soil. Diffusion mostly invovles gases,it only occurs in unicellular and simple multicellular plants. So the correct answer is C
