yes it is haptotropism thats why we put stick when planting yam so that its tendril will feel it and wrap around it

Growing yam tendrils climb for support. This growth response is
A. haptotropism
B. geotropism
C. phototropism
D. hydrotropism
E. chemotropism
The selected answer is wrong because haptotropism is a response to touch not a for support. Yes it's the movement of the tendrils but it doesn't make it the write answer.
Whenever it comes to movement or response in accordance to support, it means geotropism.
According to Oxford dictionary; The growth of the parts of plants in response to the force of gravity(support). The upward growth of plant shoots is an instance of negative geotropism ; the downward growth of roots is positive geotropism.
