There are two antigens A and B found on the surface of the red blood cell. There are two antibodies anti-A and anti-B found on the plasma. Each individual have a contracting antibody to avoid clumping of blood or agglutination . Hence during blood transfusion of wrong blood group the antibodies react with the incorrect transfused blood group as a result of the erthrocytes clumped up and stick together causing them to agglutinate that is why the antigen and antibodies in the receipt and donor react
