Sundews (Drosera) and bladderworts (Utricularia) are carnivorous plants that supplement their nutrition by trapping and digesting insects/small organisms, getting essential nutrients like nitrogen from prey, while still being autotrophic (photosynthesizing) for energy, making their nutrition partially heterotrophic/carnivorous to overcome nutrient-poor soil.
