yes the answers is correct. this is because in the intertidal zone, tides pushes the water to and fro. and during the fro movement the water is dragged back to the point of exposing the intertidal zone to air. organism in this zone are well adapted to existing in this type of condition e.g when the tide ebbs, barnacles withdraw into thier protective shell which holds some water. answer should be dessication since there is alternation of high tide and low tide

water stays in intertidal zone temporary,so the major problem they are facing is dry out (dessication)
