Clayey soil contains nutrients that are not readily available for plants due to its dense and fine particle structure. This structure causes the soil to retain water and nutrients tightly, making it difficult for plant roots to access them. While clayey soil can be rich in nutrients, its compact nature can inhibit root penetration and nutrient uptake by plants. As a result, plants may struggle to obtain essential nutrients, leading to stunted growth and poor development if proper soil management techniques are not employed.

It's not alluvial, Alluvial is not a soil type,it's clay which is mostly waterlogged and very hard, such that the abundant nutrients won't be available to the root hairs for plant growth especially during dry season

The answer should be clayey soil which is one of soil types,Alluvial is soil carried by water or flood and deposited in other places which there is a possibility that it could be to new place with plant habitats which the new plant there will make use of the mineral salts in the soil
