The liver doesn't excrete anything. It produces

urea, which is then filtered out int he kidneys and

excreted via the urethra from the bladder.

The liver cannot excrete because it is not

connected to any external orafice.

Ferritin and Hemosiderin

Iron is stored in your body, including the liver, in two forms.

The first is called ferritin. One molecule of ferritin can hold

about 4,500 iron ions, according to the University of Utah.

Because they can hold a significant amount of iron, ferritin

molecules are the chief way the body stores iron. The other

iron storage form is called hemosiderin. This form of iron is

stored only once the body has met its capacity for ferritin

storage. ANS WRONG

The correct answer is E. Excretion of urea from the blood βœ…

Here’s why:

A. Regulation of blood sugar – Yes, the liver regulates glucose levels via glycogenesis, glycogenolysis, and gluconeogenesis.

B. Storage of iron – Yes, the liver stores iron in the form of ferritin.

C. Formation of bile – Yes, the liver produces bile to aid fat digestion.

D. Breakdown of excess amino acids – Yes, the liver carries out deamination, converting excess amino acids into ammonia and then urea.

E. Excretion of urea from the blood – ❌ This is a function of the kidneys, not the liver. The liver produces urea, but the kidneys excrete it from the blood via urine.

So, E is not a liver function.

Urea is formed in the liver by a cyclic process called as

urea cycle of Ornithine cycle or Knely - Henseleit cycle. The

amino acids that are not needed in the body are deaminated

by an enzyme oxidase, producing ammonia NH 3. Ammonia,

hung toxic, is quickly changed to urea.

Three amino acids participate in the process.

Ornithine combines with ammonia and carbon dioxide to form

citrulline combines with more ammonia to form water and

orgenine.

Argeninine is then decomposed to form urea and Ornithine in

the presence of enzyme arginase and water. Ornithine is set

free for reuse in the urea cycle.

so the answer is not involve in excretion of urea but in production of urea. it is the kidney that involve in excretion of urea.

They are definitely correct!
E is the correct answer coz its the Kidney that excrete urea from the body
the main function of the liver is to procecess blood constituent passing through it like the nutrients in the blood then distribute them to various organs where they are needed
when these substances are used up,then Kidney takes them away

I guess I'm Correct 😊

haba!

the correct answer is excreation of urea ,which is the function of kidney.

So liver helps in the storage of iron.
