The most active agent of physical weathering in arid legions is wind. In arid regions, where there is little vegetation to protect the soil and rocks from the wind, it can cause significant erosion and weathering. This process is known as deflation, where the wind blows and removes the small particles of soil and rock, leaving behind larger particles and rocks.
