- B= Ovary,
- C egg or ovum.,
- D = fallopian tube or oviduct,
- E= spermatozoon/sperm,
- F= uterus,
- G= estibule,
- H=vagina,
- I= cevix,
- J = vulva.
(b)(i) The gestation period for:
- Cow =283 days
- Ewe = 147days
- Sow = 44 days
- Rabbit (Doe) = 31days.
(c) To ensure the survival of a newborn calf;
- The mucus membrane should be wiped from its nose to prevent suffocation
- The naval cord should be cut and dipped into an iodine solution
- Give colostrum
- Dam should lick the calf dry
- Ensure proper sanitation of the pen.
