(x) The wounds they create while feeding on plants predispose plants to infection.

(iv) dusting seeds or planting materials with powdered insecticides e.g. aldrin dust (seed treatment), (v) tillage practices. (vi) timely planting of crops; (vii) timely harvesting, (viii) farm hygiene / sanitation.
