(b) Five conditions that favour the practice of taungya system in Nigeria are: (i) scarcity of land (ii) Ove population (iii) unemployment (iv) Government policy (v) Low standard of living.
(c) Two advantages of taungy system to the farmers are: (i) Use of fertile forest land (ii) Use of free forest land. Two advantages of taungya systen to the foresters are: (i) Reduction in the cost of establishing plantation (ii) Enrichment of soil nutrients whet leguminous food crops are planted.
