pr( of the boy passing physics)=2/3
pr(of the boy passing mathematics)=1/4
pr( of failing physics)=1-2/3=1/3
pr( of failing mathematics)=1-1/4=3/4
hence,
pr(of failing both subject)=1/3*4/4
=4/12
=1/3(Answer)
