b. Determine the probability of getting a total of 10 when three fair dice are thrown once.
2. A particle travelling at a speed of 100m/s accelerates uniformly at 5m/s2 for 20 seconds. It then accelerates again at 10m/s2 until it attains the maximum speed of 250m/s, at which it travels uniformly for one minute and 15 seconds. It finally comes to rest in 25 seconds. Calculate the:
(i.) Time it takes the particle to reach the maximum speed;
(ii.) Distance travelled during uniform speed;
(iii.) Distance travelled during uniform retardation;
(iv.) Average speed of the particle’s journey.?
