Both are good and not competitive

Introduction to Geology
Elements of physical geology and physiographic Features of the Earth. Classification properties and description of major minerals, rocks type and occurrence of economic minerals. History of the Earth and Universe. Theory of evolution of organism. Distribution and classification of major fossil groups and their occurrence and uses. Principle of historical geology, and Stratigraphy.

Bachelor of Science in Forestry is a four-year undergraduate program that is divided into eight equal semesters. It provides students with the knowledge and training about Forestry. Forestry program trains students in the managing of forests, new plantation, maintaining old plantations and other natural resources.

Both of them are good courses but geology is better than forest production and products.
Geology (from the Ancient Greek γῆ, gē, i.e. "earth" and -λoγία, -logia, i.e. "study of, discourse") is an earth scienceconcerned with the solid Earth, the rocks of which it is composed, and the processes by which they change over time. Geology can also refer to the study of the solid features of any terrestrial planet or natural satellite, (such as Mars or the Moon).

Geology is the study of the Earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet. An important part of geology is the study of how Earth's materials, structures, processes and organisms have changed over time.

Geology is the study of the earth (geo means earth, and ology means study of). This is a very simple definition for something so complex. Geology involves studying the materials that make up the earth, the features and structures found on Earth as well as the processes that act upon them. Geology also deals with the study of the history of all life that's ever lived on or is living on the earth now. Studying how life and our planet have changed over time is an important part of geology.

Scope of Geology
Since geology is related to environment, a large portion is taught outdoors. So, field work becomes an integral part of all degree programmes. It may include collection of geologic data, constructing a measured section, interpreting geologic structures and geologic mapping.

By using their knowledge on the forces as well as factors of the planet, geologists and geoscientists seek to restructure what happened in the past and anticipate what is going to happen in the future. Geologists have an important role in preserving and keeping the environment clean as they assess natural disasters and its effects. Their activities include - monitoring waste disposal sites, preserving water supplies and minimising the threat to communities at risk from geologic hazards like earthquakes, landslides, volcanoes and tsunamis. Geological maps are important inputs for the generation of hazard maps. It helps the mitigation team to engage in disaster management in an efficient manner.

geology is best as far as i'm concern

geology job opportunity
Geologists and geo-technologists work for mining companies or oil and gas exploration companies. They can also find work in civil engineering firms, planning city construction. Additionally, government agencies may need the aid of geologists to support geoscience, education, water affairs, and forestry.
