    n1 and n2 are principal quantum numbers (integers) and n2 > n1

    Name of the spectral series is as below

    n1 n2 Spectrall Series
    1 2, 3, 4, 5, ... Lyman Series
    2 3, 4, 5, 6, ... Balmer Series
    3 4, 5, 6, 7, ... Paschen Series
    4 5, 6, 7, 8, ... Brackett Series
    5 6, 7, 8, 9, ... Pfund Series
    6 7, 8, 9, 10, ... Humphreys Series



    So if you want to calculate Lyman series, put n1 =1 and n2 = 2, 3, 4,.... and for other series follow the same method.
