The answer is C.2p

From the last shell is probably the easier to extract an electron. The distance from the nucleus dictate the strenght of atraction ... So, an 3S electron is harder to remove than an 3P electon but easier to remove than a 2P electron.

Usually the Electrons on Father away from the nucleus are easier to remove than those on the inside.

See below for the Orbital structure of electronic configuration of Mg.
The 3s electrons are further out.

So they should be easiest to remove.
