Let John's money be X
JOHN gave one third of his money to Janet
x/3 +105=Janet money

then John money remains X- x/3=2x/3
since his money reduced to 1/4th of Janet own

then 2x/3= (x/3+105)/4
8x=x+315
7x=315
x=#45 so john had 45naira initially

He gave 1/3 to Janet who has #105 before
That means Janet now has 1/3 of x + 105
= X/3+105
=X+315
---------------
3

John now has 2/3x (I.e 1-1/3)x
Which is 1/4 of what Janet has presently therefore

2/3x= 1/4 of X+315/3
2/3x = X+315/12
24x=3X+945
24x-3x=945
21X=945
Divide both sides by 21
X=45

He has #45 originally
