3)An object 0.04m high is placed in front of and at right angle to the axis of a concave mirror which has radius of curvature 0.15m. If a real image 0.12m high is obtained, determine the object from the mirror. How far and in what direction must the object be moved in other to obtain a virtual image 0.12m high?

U=12cm,r=45cm,f=?,v=?. Using,f=r/2,we have that f=22.5. Applying the mirrors formular and using real is positive:1/u+1/v=1/f,we have that:1/v=1/22.5-1/15==>v=-0.02cm.
M=v/u==>m=0.02/15=0.0013.
Hence from the above calculations image is virtual,diminished,upright,and formed at 0.02cm behind the convex mirror
