The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Post UTME (PUTME) and Post Direct Entry (PUDE) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 Academic Session are scheduled to hold between Monday 27th July 2026 and Saturday 1st August 2026 in designated centres within Ugbowo Campus of the University.

The screening exercise shall be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Do not forget you need the official Post-UTME past questions for UNIBEN to prepare adequately for the screening exercise. Click here now to get yours. This will enable you to prepare adequately for the screening.

Candidates are expected to fulfill the following criteria:

Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2026/2027 UTME and DIRECT ENTRY Admission, chose the University of Benin as their First Choice, and scored 200 and above (for UTME Candidates) are eligible for this Screening Exercise.

Obtained at least Five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent. The subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics (for courses for which a credit in mathematics is required) and three other relevant subjects (four if excluding mathematics); at not more than two sittings.

Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before commencing the application process.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

All applications should be made between 8.00 a.m. on Friday 5th June 2026 and Midnight of Friday 3rd July 2026.

The procedure for the 2026/2027 Admission Screening (Post UTME and Post Direct Entry) Application is as follows:

Click on the Application Menu

Read the instructions on the Post-UTME Application Option and click on Click/Tap Here to proceed button

Read the instructions carefully and click at the bottom of the page “Begin Application Process”

Enter your JAMB Registration Number, JAMB Score and Set your Password

Login with your User Id (JAMB Registration No.)  and your Password to begin your application

Supply the required information

To pay for the Application, Click on “Pay with Remita” button. Follow the instructions to pay the application Screening Fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000.00) only (Excluding Portal Access Charges), using a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria.

Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online (No correction will be accepted after submission).

PLEASE NOTE:

CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO GO BACK ONLINE AS FROM FRIDAY 17TH JULY 2026 TO CHECK FOR THEIR SPECIFIC DAY, VENUE AND TIME FOR THE SCREENING.

ALL CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO BE SEATED, LATEST ONE HOUR BEFORE THE STIPULATED TIME FOR THEIR SCREENING EXERCISE.

Application website closes by Midnight of Friday 3rd July 2026 (i.e., all applications must be concluded online not later than Friday 3rd July 2026). Candidates, who pay after the deadline of Midnight of Friday 3rd July 2026, will not be screened.
