Chidiebere Odum aka Aboi, a 21-year-old prospective university student, from Nihi Etche , Etche LGA, Rivers State has died after falling into a ditch on the road.

The tragic event happened when the deceased was returning home from an outing around 8pm in the evening, when he slipped and fell into the ditch along Etche road.

His lifeless body was found by a bike man in the ditch and called for help. By the time he was brought out of the ditch, he was already dead. His corpse was taken to his family house.

Residents of the community have decried the bad state of the road, stating that the deceased isnt the first victim who has lost his life to the spot. They called on both the state and federal government to do something about it to avoid future occurrence.
