The Management of Kaduna State University (KASU) has received with great concern a disturbing video currently circulating on social media, showing an unfortunate incident in which a group of female students physically assaulted a fellow student within the University hostel premises.

KASU Management wishes to categorically condemn this shameful act in the strongest terms. The University has zero tolerance for bullying, violence, or any form of indiscipline. Such behaviour is grossly unacceptable and runs contrary to the core values that define us as an institution of learning and moral uprightness.

We wish to inform the public that the students involved in the incident have been identified, and the University is already handling the matter decisively in accordance with its established rules and disciplinary procedures. Kaduna State University is not only a centre of academic excellence, but also one committed to producing graduates who are worthy in learning and character.

To this end, Management assures the University community and the general public that appropriate sanctions will be meted out to all those found culpable, to serve as a deterrent and to forestall any future recurrence.

We remain committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Parents, guardians, and stakeholders are also urged to continue to partner with the University in instilling the right values in our young people.
