The Nigerian Law School moved the venue of the call-to-bar ceremony that was scheduled to hold at the school’s headquarters in the Bwari area of the FCT to Airport Road, Abuja.

This was disclosed in a tweet shared by the Director General of the school, Prof Hayatu Isa Ciroma, on July 26, 2022, saying the new venue is the Secretariat of the Body of Benchers, behind the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja.

Though the reason for the change in venue was not officially given, it is however believed that it may be connected to the recent terrorist threats in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), after the Law school management alerted the government about a threat letter dropped by terrorists indicating an imminent attack on the school.
