His Excellency, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa) the Executive Governor of Rivers State and Visitor to the University has approved Friday, 13th May, 2022 and Saturday, 14th May, 2022 for the 39th and 40th Convocation Ceremony of the University. Friday, 13th May, 2022 will be for the award of First Degrees and prizes while Saturday, 14th May, 2022 is for the conferment of Diplomas and Higher Degrees.

Consequently all graduands are advised to commence clearance and payment of all Convocation charges into designated University accounts. All payments must be online.

The approved charges are as stated below:

I) Doctoral degree--------------N95, 000

Ii) Masters degree/Postgraduate Diplomas----------------------------N60, 000

iii) Bachelor's degree----------N41, 000

Further details of the Convocation Ceremony shall be communicated in due course.

All graduands, staff, students and the general public are please advised to disregard the fake information in circulation, purported to have emanated from the University Authority.
