KANO, NIGERIA — The Management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has successfully negotiated a final opportunity for its students to access the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). In a special bulletin released on Friday, May 8, 2026, the university announced that the application portal has been re-opened specifically to accommodate students who missed the previous deadline.

The portal is officially live as of today and will remain open until Thursday, May 29, 2026.

A "Final Opportunity" for Students

The reopening comes after a special request from BUK Management to NELFUND to consider students who had yet to complete their applications for the 2025/2026 academic session. This window is open to:

Newly admitted students.

Fresh and non-graduating students.

Other eligible students who have successfully completed their institutional screening.
