The Office of the Director of Academics, University of Uyo Students’ Union, has officially announced an extension for the submission of the GST 311 (Peace and Conflict Resolution) assignment.

​Initially due today, January 28, 2026, the deadline has been moved following numerous complaints from the student body regarding technical hurdles.

​The Reason for the Extension

​The decision comes after a review by the Director of Academics, Miracle Victor Etim, in consultation with the GST Coordinator. The primary issue identified was a delay in course registration on the university portal across various faculties and departments. This technical glitch prevented many students from obtaining their GST slips, a required component for the assignment submission.

​New Deadline Details

​New Submission Date: Wednesday, 4th February 2026.

​Target Group: This extension is specifically aimed at students and departments currently impacted by portal registration and GST slip challenges.

​Advice to Students

​While the deadline has been pushed back, the Director of Academics strongly encourages students who have already completed their registration and secured their slips to submit immediately. Early submission is advised to facilitate efficient processing and to prevent a "last-minute bottleneck" on the new closing date.
