The Academic Affairs Directorate of Ahmadu Bello University has issued a notice regarding the collection of academic gowns for the upcoming convocation ceremony Friday January 30th - Saturday 31st, 2026

In a memo signed by Ag. Director Umar Kasinu, academic units, including the Postgraduate College and College of Medical Sciences, have been directed to send their Administrative Secretaries or Faculty Officers to the Directorate of Academic Affairs to collect the gowns for graduating students.

The notice outlines that graduates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦3,000 for undergraduates and ₦6,000 for postgraduates. All payments are to be made following the attached procedure.

Additionally, the university has emphasized that all gowns must be returned in good condition along with payment receipts no later than Friday, 20 February 2026.

The memo was copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adamu Ahmed, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration.
