In a move to enhance operational efficiency, the management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has announced the reopening of its Works and Services Division and its Liaison Office in Benin City.
This decision was reached during an emergency meeting of the Principal Officers held on Thursday, 5th February 2026.

According to a press release signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Oluwayomi O. Agbebaku, the Works and Services Division, which was previously merged with the Physical Planning Division under the now-defunct Special Intervention Team (SIT), has been re-established as a standalone unit. All staff members who were formerly redeployed from the division are hereby directed to return to their posts immediately.
Furthermore, the university’s Liaison Office in Benin City, which had been closed for a period, is now operational and has resumed rendering services to the university community and the public.
