• Source of potash when burnt to ashes.
• As organic matter for the soil.
• Mulch material
• Bedding material for young animals
• Planting medium in seed boxes.
• Packaging breakable products

Specimen K(Piece of plank);

• For constructing farm building,
• For making tuniture;
• Component of agricultural tools eg handles of knife, cutlass, dibber etc
• Source of fuel;
• Packaging of agricultural produce;
• For paper production
• Constructing farm structures e.g. cribs, paddocks, pens, hutches
• Making blackboards for schools
• Construction of boats/canoes/paddle.

Specimen M (Honey);

• As food for human/sweeteners/sugar.
• For medicinal purposes
• healing wounds/burns
• For the production of cosmetic products
• For pharmaceutical purposes/industrial raw material.

(b) Ensuring continuous supply of timber;

• Planting seedlings of suitable forest trees species.
• Prevention of bush forests.
• Selective exploitation/exploration.
• Practise taungva System in places with land scarcity.
• enforcement of forestry, regulation/policing of forests
• Promote regeneration of stumps by discouraging complete removal of stumps
• Discouraging the use of firewoods for domestic cooking by developing alternatives.
• Distributing the seedings of early-maturing species to farmers
